A mutation of
By H. Veulemans, Glabbeek, België, 1985.
In the first few years a quite strong vigour, later the growth will change to more moderate with horizontal branches.
Mid-season, triploid (anther dust of low quality). The use of pollinator-trees is required.
Early and regular with good yields.
From the end of september till the end of October.
The size of the apples from Jonagold Novajo is quite big, combined with a dark red blush with some stripes and spots over a green background.
Quite firm with yellow-white colored juicy pulp.
Jonagold Novajo can be stored till the end of August (under ULO-conditions), combined with a very good shelf life.
