Jonagold Boerekamp 'Early Queen ®' is discovered in 1986 by mr J. Boerekamp from Someren, The Netherlands.

The vigour of Jonagold Boerekamp 'Early Queen ® is comparible with other Jonagold-varieries.  

Blossom
Mid-season, triploid (anther dust of low quality). The use of pollinator-trees is required.

Productivity
Early and regular with good yields.

Picking period
The Jonagold Boerekamp 'Early Queen ®' can be picked a little bit earlier relative to the most of the other Jonagold-varieties.

Shape
Partly thanks to harvesting a little earlier, a great part of the yield is between 75-85mm. The apples which are in the shadow of the branches can reach is bright red color (70-80%) in combination with a nice green backgroundcolor.

Flavour
Because of the sugar value, the sour value and the firmness the Jonagold Boerekamp 'Early Queen ®' can be sold as a high-quality apple.

Shelf life 
Jonagold Boerekamp 'Early Queen ®' is suitable for long storage (under ULO-conditions), combined with a very good shelf life.
